# What are "scopes"?

Scopes are the different choices of what exactly can be reported. You can think of them as bug categorisations.

You can add your own custom scopes via [`/scopes`](/commands/owner-commands/scope.md), when you add your own scopes the Bot will automatically delete all default scopes.
